Pike County High School cheerleaders took part in the GHSA Cheerleading State Championships in Columbus on Saturday, Nov. 10.
More than 5,000 spectators watched as Pike performed their two and a half minute routine. The Pike squad was as near perfect as a team could be but fell short in the point totals. Pike had a total of 258 points out of a possible 300. Pierce County won the championship with 289 points. This was Pike’s highest point total of the year.
The PCHS cheerleaders placed eighth in the GHSA Cheerleading State Championship competition in Columbus last Saturday. The girls scored 258 points for their two and a half minute performance.
