Allison Renee Smith, 8, was killed in April 1986. The second grader’s death was determined a homicide by the GBI but no charges were ever filed in the case and it remains an open investigation 26 years later.

None of these crimes exist in a vacuum. Someone out there knows or suspects something. The person who keeps the secret labors under a terrible burden. Please do the right thing and share information with law enforcement.

That is so true, Cats. I am proud that Pike's sheriff, Jimmy Thomas, considers this an important case after such an extensive period of time. This puts him WAY AHEAD of the outgoing sheriff of Lamar county who evaded conversation and questions pertaining to Donna Johnson's brutal murder. If a person knows anything about this brutal death of an innocent child, please ease your conscious by speaking to Sheriff Thomas.
