Parrott was a four year starter for the Pike County High School Pirates baseball team under head coach Don Hanson. He also played two years of baseball for the Highlanders as well as playing for West Georgia University and Southern Poly State.
World Series rings received
Members of the Gordon State College’s Highlanders baseball team and their coaches received World Series rings Jan. 15 for placing third in the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction, Colorado last summer, including assistant coach Blake Parrott of Meansville. The team was coached by head coach Travis McClanahan and assistant coaches Gary Sharpe, Tim Jones and Blake Parrott.
