Easter holiday activities continue this weekend with several community egg hunts and many church activities.
Christ Chapel will hold the Easter Egg Drop and Hunt Saturday, March 30 at 1 p.m. at the corner of Highway 19 and Old Zebulon Road across from Pike County schools. The annual egg hunt will start with thousands of candy-filled eggs being dropped from a helicopter. The event is free and everyone is welcome.
Jessie Franks (left) and Evalyn Stephens enjoy an Easter egg hunt at Life Springs United Methodist Church. This year, Life Springs will have the Spring Eggstravaganza at 2 p.m. March 30 at Life Springs Church at the pavilion area or inside the church in case of rain. The free event is open to everyone and will include an egg hunt, hay ride, ice cream, inflatable slide, hot dogs and popcorn.
