Absentee ballots for the Nov. 6 election are now available in the registrar’s office. Pike County residents can call and order an application to receive an absentee ballot or residents can stop by the office and fill out application. The last day absentee ballots can be mailed is Nov. 2 and all applications must be received before that date. Early voting will begin Monday, Oct. 15 and will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each weekday through Nov. 2. One weekend day of early voting will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the courthouse. All early voting will be in the new registrar’s office downstairs in the courthouse addition. The public can enter from the north side of the courthouse at the entrance facing the sheriff’s office on Jackson Street. A gravel walkway will lead to the addition entrance where early voting will be held in the new office. The hallway to the old registrar’s office will be closed for renovations during early voting. Residents must bring a picture ID to vote early.
