Pike County Sheriff’s deputies captured Kevin Chapman, 22, of Meansville who has been on the run since Dec. 17. PCSO investigators located Chapman at a house in Clayton County.”We followed up on numerous leads on the possible whereabouts of Chapman and he was located at a residence in Clayton County,” said Major David Neal of the PCSO. “When our investigators approached the house, he fled from the residence and was captured a short time later.”Chapman was arrested on warrants for armed robbery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.The four suspects in the December robbery were believed to have used an SUV to block in another vehicle and order the victims from the car at gunpoint in an attempt to steal drugs.Victims say they were ordered from their vehicle, one person was struck in the head with a gun and several shots were fired at one of the individuals.Investigators followed several leads including phone records to determine what happened on the night of the shooting and learned that a gun used in the robbery had been thrown into a lake on Chapman Road. A sawed off shotgun was recovered from the lake and has been linked to the crime.Thomas Andrews, 40, of Griffin, was charged with being party to an armed robbery crime, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.Franklin Gladden, 35, of Meansville, was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.Ray Haralson Jr., 24, of Barnesville, was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and false imprisonment.If you have information on the whereabouts of Chapman, call 911.
