The J. Joel Edwards Public Library in Zebulon will host Georgia author Ann Hite for a presentation and book signing Saturday, October 29 at 1 p.m.
Author of the acclaimed Black Mountain series, Hite takes her readers back to Black Mountain with this haunted short story collection, Haints on Black Mountain. An array of new characters on the mountain experience ghostly encounters. This collection took inspiration from her beloved readers, who provided writing prompts.
Published just last month by Mercer University Press, Haints on Black Mountain has already been nominated for a Townsend, a Weatherford and a Pushcart Award. Southern Literary Review named it their October read.
For those wishing to get a jump on the reading, the J. Joel Edwards Public Library is offering not only Haints on Black Mountain, but also Where the Souls Go, Sleeping above Chaos and Hite’s memoir Roll the Stone Away for purchase at the library.
This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit the J. Joel Edwards Public Library or call 770-567-2014.
