Visit the Williamson park from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 for Bryson’s Day in the Park to help a 5-year-old boy experiencing renal failure. He has been through multiple surgeries and every day his family faces an uncertain future. He was in the hospital with kidney stones too large to pass again Sept. 1 and likely will have yet another surgery. Bryson’s Day in the Park will feature many vendors and proceeds will help the family with medical expenses and with a vacation for Bryson. The event at the Williamson park will include inflatables, water slides, corn hole and other games, a balloon man and photo shoots for families. The photo shoot will include an 8×10, two 5x7s and four 4x6s. The event is hosted by Humbly Serving Ministries. Bryson’s 9-year-old brother will be selling rubber band bracelets and Bryson will be selling sun catchers he painted for donations. To find out more about the event, go to the Bryson’s Day in the Park event listed on Facebook. A Ride for Bryson will be held Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m., leaving from the parking lot behind Buffalo’s Cafe in Griffin. It’s a $20 donation or more if possible but no amount will be turned down. Kickstands go up at 11 a.m. and the ride will end at Xtreme Rider in Warm Springs. For more on the ride, find the Ride for Bryson event on Facebook.
