For the first time, and for two days only, some of the toughest cowboys and bovine athletes around will grace the Peach State for the 2011 Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association-sanctioned Bull Bash. This extreme bull riding event will be held April 29-30 at the Chestnut Oak Center in Meansville, four miles south of Zebulon on Highway 19.The bucking stock will be provided by local stock contractor and event producer Wayne White of XX Bulls in Milner. Wayne is an ex-bull rider of 18 years; he traveled all over North America including Canada riding bulls and recently retired to raise his own herd. Not only are the bulls local, many of the riders will be local and Georgia native cowboys as well. Champion bull rider JoJo Sullivan, a Buckhead native, and young gun Justin Bates from Temple will compete both nights. Entertainment will be provided by world-renowned ‘funny man’ Matt Merritt and North Carolina musician Luke Kaufman. Cowboy protection will be provided by bullfighter Cole Ivey from Newnan. The show begins at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
