Burousas bond hearing set for August 21

A late August bond hearing is scheduled for accused murderer Teresa Mangham Burousas, according to the office of Judge Paschal English of the Griffin circuit. Burousas’ bond hearing is set for Aug. 21 at 9 a.m. at the Pike County Courthouse. Superior Court Judge Christopher Edwards will preside. Burousas, 46, was arrested July 31 and charged with felony murder, malice murder and aggravated assault. She is accused of gunning down her husband, Jimmie (Buzz) Burousas Jr., outside their Concord area home July 1. The victim, 60, died from two gunshot wounds to his head and torso. Burousas, the daughter of Pike County commission chairman Doug Mangham, is incarcerated at the Upson County Jail.
