A bench trial for accused killer Teresa Burousas will begin Tuesday, Oct. 4. According to District Attorney Ben Coker, she will not be tried by a panel of Pike County jurors. Her attorney Ricky Morris filed a motion for a bench trial which Coweta Superior Court Circuit Judge Quillian Baldwin Jr. will preside over. Burousas is charged with the death of her husband Jimmie “Buzz” Burousas outside their Concord area home. He died from two gunshot wounds to his head and torso.
