Callie signs softball scholarship

Callie Williams represented Pike County High School in the Georgia Dugout Club Sr. All-State Game played recently at Truist Park. Callie also recently signed a scholarship with Trevecca Nazarene University.

Callie was an important part of the Lady Pirates softball team, helping them advance to the state playoffs three years in a row. For her career, she hit .424, with 26 doubles, two triples, four home runs, 82 runs batted in and 77 runs scored.

“We will truly miss these numbers from Callie, but even more than that we will miss her leadership,” said Lady Pirates head coach Kevin Mobley.

“She would be the first one to the field and the last to leave doing all that needed to be done. She would say the tough things that needed to be said. She is a great teammate and a true competitor. She represented Pike County High School, PCHS Softball and this community well at the All-State Game.”
Callie signed a softball scholarship with the Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans in Nashville, TN on Nov. 10 with coaches, family and teammates congratulating her.

During the Fastpitch All State Game at Truist Park Callie was presented with a plaque that read, “Congratulations for being selected to participate as a player in the 2022 All State Games. To be chosen as one of the top players in Georgia to participate in this prestigious event speaks volumes for the athleticism you possess and the regard that coaches from around the peach state have for your ability, attitude and commitment to this great game.”

Callie is the daughter of Jim and Michelle Williams.
