Catch the Battle at Shadow Rock Bull

XX Bulls and Frank’s Filling Station will present the Battle at Shadow Rock Bullriding event May 5-6.
The gates open at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. at Shadow Rock Arena at 4690 Concord Road in Concord with pony rides, food concessions, face painting and more. An invitational cattle sorting show will also be held at 11 a.m. May 6.

“Bring the whole family out for a fun and exhilarating time,” said Wayne White of XX Bulls. “We can’t wait to see everyone. It’s going to be a great show. Don’t miss out!”

Colt 45 will be the clown entertaining the crowd and riders will be bucking around 40 bulls each night.
Pike County’s Wayne White of XX Bulls rode bulls professionally for 19 years and has now been retired for 12 years.

“I have ridden bulls in 45 states and Canada. I have had bulls at the farm since I started riding for me to practice at home. Now we have 20 bulls and I coach bull riders,” he said. “We usually practice two to three days per week. My family is very supportive and helpful. My oldest son Tyler works for me with my construction company and helps out when we practice. My middle son Blake is a good up-and-coming bull rider. My youngest son Evan loads and handles all the bulls for our practice. My wife Summer handles everything else. This local event is very important to us to share our lives experiences with our community. We will have some of the best bulls and riders in the southeast. We will also be showcasing some young talent that are part of our training program. This will be a family friendly action packed event. We will greatly appreciate our communities support.”

Admission is $20 at the gate and children 8 and under are free. The event will be held rain or shine. For more information, call 770-841-8390.
