Celebrate freedom: in Molena July 2,
in Concord July 4

Molena will celebrate America’s Independence with a flag retirement ceremony and festivities to be followed by fireworks on Saturday, July 2.

Festivities will begin at noon with music, pony rides, food trucks, Axes on Axels, prize drawings and other entertainment. The city will also have historic items on display in Molena City Hall to celebrate Pike’s 200th birthday as well.  

As part of Molena’s Bicentennial and Independence Day celebration July 2, a scavenger hunt will be held. See the city clerk for an entry form at City Hall. Prizes will be provided by local businesses and include gift cards, locally grown beef, produce and more.

This year’s Independence Day Children’s Bike Parade in Concord will start at 10 a.m. Monday, July 4 with lineup set for 9:45 a.m. in front of the Concord Cafe building.
