Concord evacuated due to ammonia leak

Areas in and around the ice plant in Concord were evacuated for about an hour Sunday afternoon due to an ammonia leak at plant, according to residents.All areas had apparently been reopened by 3:30 p.m.A voluntary evacuation was enacted and traffic was re-routed around downtown as part of precautionary measures, said assistant fire chief Randy Snyder.
