County approves impact fee study, board member

At the March 13 meeting, commissioners approved use of $24,000 from the administration impact fee fund and $51,000 in impact fees from CIE Prep for the Impact Fee Study that will be performed by Ross and Associates. Bids were opened for the county’s impact fee study at the Feb. 14 meeting with Ross and Associates bidding $95,200 to complete the study.

Commissioners appointed Parrish Swift to the tax assessors board during their March 13 meeting. Swift will serve an unexpired six-year term, set to expire Aug. 31, 2029.

The county also:

  • Approved use of the courthouse square by Charles Steck of Life Line Ministry for a statewide Bible reading starting at 7:14 a.m. Sunday, July 14.
  • Rescinded a motion from the Jan. 10 meeting to provide for the installation of speed bumps in Ranchland Estates. They approved a cul-de-sac on the north side of the pond and the continuation of the road by 1,000 feet.
  • Discussed Employee Appreciation Day and the Pike County Parks and Recreation Board.
