The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 53 counties in Georgia, including Pike County until 4 p.m. Friday. A tornado watch means conditions are right for a tornado to form. A tornado warning means signs of tornadic activity have been witnessed.The tornado watch includes Lamar, Spalding and Meriwether, places hit hard by tornadoes in April 2011.
