Jury members who will try accused killer Jamie Weis may be selected as early as March but Judge Tommy Hankinson who will preside over the case has concerns about security at the courthouse. ”I certainly have no intention to hold this case up ‘“ it’s been lingering long enough,” he said. “The defendant has to be brought to and from the courthouse and the jury will be going in and out. The last thing we want to have is a mistrial. It’s going to be difficult to do with the setup of this courthouse.” Neither the defense attorneys nor the district attorney’s office seemed interested in moving the trial from the Zebulon courthouse. It was agreed at the motions hearing Dec. 17 a new jury pool for the case would be held sometime in March, if possible.
