COVID cases stay steady in Pike; no new deaths

Confirmed cases of COVID remained at 41 over the past two weeks and the previous two-week period. They rose from 34 for the previous four week period, according to the Georgia Department of Public Health. 

There were five additional citizens hopsitalized due to COVID, increasing from 190 to 195. There was no change in the number of deaths (74) or the number of probable deaths (25) since the start of the pandemic in 2020. 

COVID cases are elevated but decreased from the previous two weeks in the surrounding counties, including 71 cases in Lamar, 111 cases in Upson, 88 cases in Meriwether and 165 cases in Spalding County.
