Dance classes set for Saturday

As part of its community outreach endeavor, the J. Joel Edwards Library is offering basic dance instruction, with the first session to be held Saturday, Jan. 25 at 1 p.m. This Saturday’s class will offer basic instruction on group dances. ’You can’t even go to a wedding anymore without knowing the electric slide,’ said library manager Rosemary Bunn. ‘This first class will offer an hour of remembering steps many already know and supplementing them with some new moves, focusing on the electric slide, cupid shuffle and the shim sham.’ No partner is required for these dances, making them even more appealing. The class is free and open to all ages. For more, call the library at 770-567-2014 during regular library hours Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
