Investigators from the Pike County sheriff’s office are looking into the death of a Williamson child, sheriff Jimmy Thomas and coroner Terrell Moody have confirmed.Moody said emergency personnel responded to a residence on Hwy. 362 in Williamson Saturday morning. When they arrived, people at the residence were performing CPR on two-year-old Ty’Quam Edge. EMTs took over the resuscitation effort but it was unsuccessful and the child was pronounced dead.Sheriff’s investigators and DFCS personnel are working the case.Moody said the incident is under investigation because “the autopsy results gave no conclusive evidence that injuries were an obvious cause of death.”More to follow as this story develops.
