Deputy Boyt to help in Haiti

By Greg Parrott Deputy Jeffrey Boyt is planning a trip to Haiti this month to assist in ongoing relief efforts from the Jan. 12 earthquake. He will be joined in his efforts by longtime family friend Daryl Clark of Thomaston. They will fly into the Dominican Republic then drive into Haiti. Supplies for aid will be purchased in the Dominican Republic as baggage space is limited and costly on flights. Boyt will join forces with his uncle Ray Lowe of Thomaston, a minister already in Haiti on relief efforts. All of Boyt’s expenses for airfare, food, immunizations and supplies are at his own expense. He is also using his vacation time from work for this effort. To help Boyt help others, call Carla Webb at 770-468-1119 as soon as possible. He is scheduled to leave Feb. 15.
