Elderly woman struck and killed

An elderly female who stepped off a curb on Hwy. 362 in Williamson Wednesday was struck by a passing vehicle and killed.Sheriff Jimmy Thomas identified the woman as Zollie Easley. He said the investigation is ongoing.Residents of the area said Easley walked the area daily and often crossed the highway in the vicinity of the accident to get to a store.More on this story as it develops….Thanks to Bill Taylor at WKEU for contributing to this report.
