Extension welcomes new 4-H leader

The Pike County Extension Office recently welcomed Brandi Baade as the new 4-H Youth and Development Extension Agent.

After earning her undergraduate degree in Agricultural Education from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree in Agricultural Leadership, Communication and Education from the University of Missouri, Brandi Baade began a 13-year career in the classroom as an agriculture teacher. She taught in both Jones and Pike counties, where she also served as FFA Advisor, helping students grow as leaders through hands-on agricultural experiences.

“Brandi is passionate about developing tomorrow’s leaders by creating meaningful opportunities in agriculture and leadership. Her dedication to youth development, safety and education extends beyond the classroom,” said Brooklyne Wassel, Pike County’s UGA Extension Agent.

Brandi is a certified Hunter Education Instructor through the Department of Natural Resources and a former NASP archery coach.

Now serving as the 4-H Agent in Pike County, Brandi is excited to offer a wide range of programs – from Project SAFE and 4-H Camp to competition teams and community outreach – ensuring that Pike County 4-H has something for everyone. She looks forward to providing a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where youth can discover their strengths and reach their full potential.

Whether through school clubs, after school programs, competitions, volunteer opportunities, or leadership teams, there are many ways to participate in Pike County 4-H. To learn more or to get started, contact the Pike County Extension Office at 770-567-2010 or email baade@uga.edu.
