Due to a forecast that includes storms and high winds, a special St. Patrick’s Day event has been postponed until Friday, March 17. Enjoy time with family and friends around the courthouse square with live music, special foods and drinks, games, a scavenger hunt prizes, treats, fun for all the local little clovers, shopping and a beard contest at 6:30 p.m.
“Get ready for St. Patty’s Day! Family fun is as good as gold,” said Meredith Maddox of the Pike County Chamber of Commerce. “Join us around the square in Zebulon!”
The March 17 event is hosted by the Downtown Zebulon Merchant Council and sponsored by First Bank of Pike.
“We will have a St. Patricks Day community event in downtown Zebulon,” said Kacie Edwards of the DZMC. “Starting at 6 p.m. there will be sidewalk games, local store sales, a scavenger hunt and some special surprises. Faded Society Barber shop is hosting a Best Beard Contest at 6:30 p.m. and the night will end at Fishtales with their pre-sale, ticket-only comedian show! We hope to see everyone come out and enjoy our city!”
Businesses around the courthouse will go green for the St. Patrick’s Day celebration and Coffee-A-Go-Go will offer Patty Shakes on the square.
