Fatality at Hwy 19, Gresham Road

Pike County Deputies responded to a vehicle accident on Highway 19 at Gresham Road today at 11:46 a.m. A Chevrolet pick up truck was traveling westbound on Gresham Road when it ran the stop sign at Highway 19 and struck a Chevrolet passenger car. The driver of the truck, Adrian Hampton , 28 years of age from Zebulon, was deceased at the scene. Jeffery Brown , 57 years of age, was injured in the other vehicle and transported to Grady Hospital by ambulance. Traffic investigators continue to look into this accident.
