With 100% of precincts reporting, there were a total of 8,642 votes cast with 7,453 votes for Herschel Junior Walker (R) and 1,184 votes for Raphael Warnock (D).
In just over three days of early voting, 14% of Pike County registered voters cast their ballots with a total of 2,029. There were a total of 1,044 voters on the last day of early voting.
“Even with the large number of voters, there was only a wait time of about 10 to 15 minutes,” said elections supervisor David Neyhart. “Total voters that have cast their ballots in person this week for the runoff was 3,883, which is 91% of the total voters (4,266) that we had in the three-week early voting period for the runoff in January 2021. The turnout thus far for this runoff is 27%, which is the same turnout that we had on the election day for the General Election.”
