First programs offered at Community Center

Classes start April 3, register now

Pike County’s Community Center will host its first programs for local citizens to take advantage of with Body Weight Bootcamp and Beginner Line Dancing set for Tuesdays and two Beginner Line Dancing classes also set for Thursdays. The classes will start April 3 and run for four weeks total. Two Yoga classes will be added to the schedule soon.

“Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the week of April 3rd! Our new Community Center Programs are launching and right now our instructors are offering awesome discounts on a monthly pass registration,” said recreation assistant Victoria Bryan.

Beginner Line Dancing with Michelle McCullough will be held in the Activities Room from 5:30 to 6:30 and again from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. on Tuesdays. Line Dancing will also be held Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 and 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. The cost is $50 for unlimited monthly classes or $15 per class. The Line Dancing class is for participants 12 and older.

Body Weight Bootcamp with Carrie Epperson will be held in Classroom 2 from 9 to 10 a.m. and the class is for participants 16 and older. The cost is $50 for unlimited monthly classes or $15 per class. Participants need a towel, water and resistance bands are optional.

Monthly class registration will be offered until classes are filled or until March 31 online at pikecorec.org. There will be a Daily Drop In option for one time classes and participants can check in at the front desk of the PCPRA Community Center.
