Flat Shoals Bullriding May 3-4

For the White family of Milner, bullriding is a way of life and they will share their passion this weekend as around 40 competitive bullriders from across the southeast and more than 50 bulls bring the action from as far as Mississippi, North Carolina and right here in Pike County.

Mask RollOff and XX Bulls will present Flat Shoals Bullriding Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. It is a cash-only event and gates open at 6 at QC Arena at 1017 Flat Shoals Road in Gay with the show starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and kids 8 and under are free.

The event will feature Colt 45 in the arena as well as pony rides, inflatables, a mechanical bull, food vendors and other vendors.

“We work really hard to make this a fun event. These bullrides are experienced and they will come from all over the southeast. They are the best of the best – and the bulls too. We’re a family of bullriders and we all want to share our love of the sport and make it a fun weekend. I think everyone will have fun! Colt 45 will be here again. He is so funny and always makes everything fun,” said Summer White. “Our son, Blake White, 21, will be riding both nights and the bullriders will range in age from 15 to their 30s. There will be close to $7,000 up for grabs each night with buckles awarded to each night’s winner and a set of trophy spurs to the overall winner.”
