Freedom Rodeo to kick off Friday, Saturday

The Freedom Rodeo, paid for by Beth Camp for State House, will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 19 and 20 at Chestnut Oak Arena in Meansville. The rodeo starts each night with performances by Georgia singer Aaron Tanner. Kids 10 and under are free and tickets are $20. The gates open at 6 p.m. and the rodeo starts at 8 p.m. The event will include food vendors, beverages and shopping opportunities.

“I am so excited to be able to bring high-quality entertainment and recreation to Pike County. It is a blessing not only to live here but to serve,” said Rep. Beth Camp.

Local riders as well as competitors across the state will keep the crowds entertained as the rodeo clowns keep bull riders safe and the laughs and smiles constant throughout the weekend. The event will have seating for 2,000 at Chestnut Oak in Meansville.
