Amanda ‘Mandy’ Bunn was attacked by dogs at her home off Highway 19 south in Meansville on Oct. 24. She has special needs and is supported by her family but they are asking for help with medical expenses and to build a fence to help her feel safe from dogs in the area.
“My sister Mandy, who is special needs and deeply loved by her family and friends was taking a little stroll right outside of her home Friday evening. Within an instant, she was brutally attacked by pit bulls. She suffered a terrible bite on her left arm and sustained several other bruises on her leg, hand and fingers. She was rushed to Macon where she underwent surgery to repair her arm,” said her sister Tina Loudermilk. “We know the Lord had His hand on her and for that we are so grateful. Mandy is a loving soul, one that is always thinking of others. She enjoys making cards for those who are sick and she tells everyone she sees that she loves them. She is a true light in this dark world and the best sister ever.”
The family is hoping to raise $1,600 via their GoFundMe account at https://gofund.me/3f8aa262a.
The funds will be used for medical bills that insurance won’t cover, travel expenses and a fence to help keep other unleashed dogs away.
“Please pray for healing for Mandy, both physically and emotionally, and for my sweet Mama who has had to experience this nightmare,” said Tina. “We know prayers work and we know His grace is sufficient.”
