Fury FC soccer tryouts are this week

If you think it is time for your young athlete to move up from recreational soccer play, you may consider having him or her to participate in Fury FC soccer evaluations and tryouts this week. Training is more intense than recreation soccer and the expectations for parents and players are greater as well. Fury teams at all levels are coached by licensed, experienced coaches. They will also work with paid trainers with vast soccer playing time and skills. Tryouts for boys and girls at the U9-U12 level are June 1 and 2 from 6-7 p.m. at Pike Soccer Complex located on County Farm Road in Zebulon. Tryouts for those in the U13-U19 level are June 2 and 3 at 6 p.m. also at the soccer complex. As a testament to the training, every girl on last fall’s U15 Athena team that moved on to high school started as a freshman for her high school team. Participants should bring a ball, cleats, shinguards and water to tryouts. For more info., visit pikesoccer.org.
