The Griffin Area Concert Association and Live on Stage of Nashville, Tenn., will present American folksinger William Florian and his show “Those Were the Days – The Spirit and Songs of the ‘˜60s,” at the Griffin Auditorium Tuesday, April 7 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 with a special rate of $15 for groups of 10 or more. All minor children are admitted free when accompanied by a paid adult.Former lead singer for the 1960s folk group The New Christy Minstrels, Florian is a folk music songwriter and performer. Through his show, he and his band take the audience on a musical journey of America’s greatest folk and pop songs of the ‘˜60s, including songs Florian performed with the Minstrels and favorites such as John Denver, Peter Paul & Mary, the Mamas and Papas and Pete Seeger.”For anyone who lived through the 1960s or who loves the folk songs of that era, this is your concert.
