Georgia’s Poet Laureate to visit Pike

Georgia’s Poet Laureate Chelsea Rathburn will visit Pike to share her poems and process from 7-8 p.m. Sunday, April 25 at 1828 Coffee Company.

A Novel Experience has some of her books for purchase. She will also share some from her yet-unpublished new book. One of her excerpts is on a canvas in the Chamber of Commerce, along with other local poets and Fran Haley of North Carolina and Glenda Funk of Idaho.

From 6-7 p.m. April 25, before she speaks, there will be a community Open Mic at which attendees can read poems they love or poems they’ve written – or just sit back with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the readings.
