The Gordon College Baseball team recently returned from a three game road trip against Andrew College in Cuthbert winning two games and dropping one.In the first game Gordon pounded Andrew 14-3. Highlander Mitch Rider went 3-4 with a homerun and four runs scored. Pitcher Pat McGowan picked up his first college win allowing only three runs in 6 1/3 innings.Gordon lost the second game in the series 7-5. Despite the loss, Blake Parrott and Eric Esquilin were 2-3 respectively, each with a pair of singles and a run scored.The team rallied back in the final game scoring five runs to Andrew’s 4. Nate Bowen picked up his first college win while Tucker Stone recorded his first save of the year. Luke Walls paced the offence with a 2-2 performance including a pair of singles.The Highlanders next game is Thursday, March 5 at home against Cleveland State. The first pitch is at 2 p.m.On Saturday, March 7, the Highlanders travel to Tifton for a three-game stand against Abraham Baldwin. They return home on Wednesday, March 11 for a 3:30 p.m. game against Darton College.
