Groundbreaking held for new fire station

Local officials gathered Thursday, Feb. 4 on Concord Road at the site of the new Hollonville-Pedenville Volunteer Fire Station for a groundbreaking ceremony. Construction of the $180,000 fire station began in December by McLeRoy Land Development and is the third of the three new fire station buildings built with SPLOST funds. Completion is expected by mid-April. The land for the new station was donated by Trisha Dabbs and family.
