Pike County families will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate together at fall festivals and events, including the Halloween on the Square which starts at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31.
The inaugural Pike County Parks and Recreation Authority Fall Festival and Movie in the Park will be Friday, Oct. 28 from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. The event will feature Hocus Pocus on the big screen around 7:30 p.m. and plenty of family fun during the day, including food vendors, arts and crafts, kids’ games and crafts, inflatables, the pumpkin carving contest winners and more.
Meansville Baptist church will host a Trunk or Treat event from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28 at 12620 Highway 109 in Meansville.
The city of Williamson will host their Trunk or Treat event at the park and walking track from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 with food and treats, inflatables, live music, hot chocolate, a pet parade and an outdoor movie.
Life Springs UMC will host a fall festival from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30 with pumpkin smashing, games, a Trunk or Treat, a pumpkin painting contest, hay rides and more.
Big Chic in Zebulon will give out candy to trick or treaters inside the business during business hours all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
It’s not too late to help the residents of one popular subdivison that is filled with characters of all types each Halloween. A candy drive for the Whitefield Walk community is underway with drop off locations for candy at Vandyk Mortgages inside the Pike County Chamber of Commerce Offices, Re/Max Southern at 232 South 10th Street in Griffin and Express Sanitation at 26 Silver Lane in Zebulon.
