A fundraiser will be held Saturday, Nov. 17 from noon to 9 p.m. in Williamson to benefit the two young sons of the late Mindy Ann Manley. She died in a car accident on Highway 19 in September and the fundraiser will help her two sons, one of whom she home schooled. The event will include barbecue plates, several bands, cake walks, hay rides, raffles, horseshoes, kids’ games a snack bar and more at 460 Aerodrome Way, Griffin. Ben Ratliff, Pearl Bottom Radio and Strutt will play during the fundraising event.Since Brian Lee Manley, 15, and Chandler Brice Dodson, 10, lost their mother Sept. 3, their family has been plagued by financial difficulties. The goal of the Hard Road Benefit for Brian and Chandler is to assist with their academic achievement through tutoring and special schooling to get them back on track. The entry fee is only $1 per person at the gate and all games and food purchases are based on donations. ”If you get the pleasure of meeting either of these two young men, you will instantly be compelled to compassion by their grace alone,” said Joshua Thaxton. “Please consider Brian and Chandler for your next charitable donation.”Donations can be made in person at any United Bank location or by mail at United Bank, P.O. Box 945, Zebulon GA 30295. Checks can be made payable to Joshua Thaxton for the benefit of Brian Manley and Chandler Dodson.
