The annual Pike County Health Fair sponsored by the Pike County Extension and Farm Bureau is set for Friday, Feb. 19. As usual, the annual event will be held at the high school from 7-11 a.m.Free health screenings and educational exhibits will be included, said Helen Carter, Pike’s family and consumer science agent. She coordinates the event.The health fair normally brings out hundreds of people to take advantage of the free screenings offered. They include hearing, glaucoma, blood pressure, body mass index, blood glucose, carpel tunnel, posture/balance, lung function capacity and sleep study.The health department will give free H1N1 flu vaccines to anyone needing one. Spalding Regional Medical Center will offer blood pressure checks and a posture/balance screening.
