Health inspector scam

District 4 Public Health has recently received reports of an individual posing as a health inspector.  This person has approached several restaurant owners or managers demanding free meals. District 4 Health Inspectors do not appear at a restaurant without proper photo identification.  If at any time you are unsure of a health inspector’s identity, please call your local Environmental Health Office to verify. Health inspectors are responsible for enforcing local and state regulations that pertain to the sanitation of food and water. Â  For more information about District 4 Public Health, Environmental Health, or food services please visit www.district4health.org.
