A single-vehicle wreck which entrapped a driver has been cleared after Highway 18 west of Zebulon was temporarily blocked as emergency personnel work to free the driver from the vehicle Monday afternoon. The late 1970s Volkswagon Bug was wedged between two trees and the driver was entrapped. Pike County Emergency Services volunteers, sheriff’s office deputies, Zebulon police officers and Mid Ga Ambulance personnel worked to cut the top of the vehicle away to free the driver and provide medical assistance. The driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
