Homes vandalized in Williamson

Several houses in a Williamson neighborhood were vandalized with spray paint in the early morning hours of Aug. 20. Neighbors are offering a reward to anyone who can identify the culprits. According to resident Mark Saporita, his family was planning to move into a newly constructed home over the weekend. They were shocked and upset by spray painted messages on their house. ’My neighbors’ houses got spray painted as well,’ he said. ‘We’re going to have to repaint and do some touchups after this. It’s one thing to roll a house but to physically devalue the house is inexcusable. I’m not even sure of the full amount of damage to the homes. I’m not an advocate for suppressing growth but I want to inform people what’s going on and what might be to come, especially with the new development that just got approved.’ Houses and property in the Ashley Glenn subdivision off Highway 362 were spray painted, including houses, pool houses and other items. Neighbors report cameras have been placed at some homes to help catch the vandals.
