Pike County Emergency Services will continue the tradition of a Fourth of July parade through downtown Zebulon on Monday. The theme of the parade is ‘In Memory of 9/11’ and entries are needed to showcase Pike’s pride in America’s independence.’We’d love to have plenty of floats, walkers, antique cars and civic groups come out to showcase their organizations,’ said PCES auxiliary founder Terri Totten. ‘The parade will follow the same route as last year.’Lineup of cars and walkers started at 2:30 p.m. at the old middle school on Highway 19, with the parade beginning at 4 p.m. and traveling up Highway 19 north past the courthouse, taking a left on Williamson-Zebulon Road and left on County Farm Road to the recreation fields.
