Jason Brisendine was honored as this year’s Pike County Golden Eagle Honoree, presented by Pike County and The Flint River Council, Boy Scouts of America. Jason is an Eagle Scout and the Executive Vice President/Chief Credit Officer at the First Bank of Pike. He is also the Pike County Kiwanis Club’s long-serving secretary and past president. Dave Lamb was honored as well, as Spalding County’s Golden Eagle Honoree. Dave Lamb is the general manager for CareMaster, Medicare Services, he is also an active Rotarian.
The Golden Eagle Honoree is chosen annually, by members of the community as someone that upholds the values of Scouting and serves their community in a variety of ways. Pastor Billy Smith of Christ Chapel Community Church and Bonnie Pfrogner, long serving Spalding County Community Servant, both past Golden Eagle honorees, were this year’s co-chairs for the event. Attendees from both communities were present to honor Jason and Dave.
“The Golden Eagle Dinner is also a very important fundraiser for Scouting in Spalding and Pike County, without which Scouting could not continue,” said Jonathan Hopkins, Ronotohachi District Executive. “A big thank you to The Associates Group for being the Presenting Sponsor for the event.
