Judge Miller hears criminal calendar

The following criminal defendants were sentenced in Pike County superior court Aug. 11 with Judge Ben Miller, Jr. presiding.

Justin Evans, fleeing and attempting to elude, improper license plate, suspended license, failure to maintain lane, obstruction, wrong class of license, tire violations and possession of marijuana; did not appear, bench warrant issued.

Brandon Cord’A McCall, simple battery; failed to appear, bench warrant issued.

Samuel Shane Strickland, criminal trespass; failed to appear, bench warrant issued.

Ronnie Cornelius Flemister, three counts trafficking in cocaine or marijuana, two counts VGCSA, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; bond set at $750,000. The defense sought a $200,000 bond.

Jonathon Curtis Stone, two counts child pornography; bond reduced to $200,000.
