Kiwanis Club of Pike County is in tune with the needs of local students and the group recently presented the Pike County High School Pirate Regiment Marching Band with a $500 check to help with their instrument budget.
“It’s the season of giving and Kiwanis of Pike County dropped by the high school and was able to present the band at Pike County High School with a check for $500 to go toward their instrument budget,” said Kiwanis president Christian Salvador. “If you’d also like to help support our school’s band, check out their honey baked ham fundraiser here at honeybaked.com/fundraising/pirate_regiment_2.”
Kiwanis of Pike County has made many donations to the high school marching band over the years.
“The Regiment is extremely blessed to receive such continual love and support from the Kiwanis Club of Pike! With this year’s donation, the Regiment has purchased a brand new clarinet, allowing students in need of an instrument for marching band or concert band to thrive and be successful,” said director of bands Lee Ewing. “Thank you so much, President Salvador and the Kiwanis Club!”
