Local man injured rescuing burn victim

from…. Lamar native Trey Woodall was badly burned Tuesday rescuing a friend involved in an ATV accident in Pike County. The friend was on the ATV when it overturned, trapping him underneath. The ATV burst into flames and the trapped man was severely burned. Woodall pulled the ATV off the man and was burned in the process. The incident occurred in Pike County near the Flint River. Woodall was taken to a Columbus hospital and later transferred to a burn unit in Atlanta. The other victim, a male about 30 years old known as Frenchie, was much more critically hurt. His status was unknown Wednesday morning.
