Local youth selected for Clovers and Company

Callista Clark, Georgia Hanson and Parker Powers were selected to perform with the nationally acclaimed 4-H performing arts group, Clovers and Company. The Pike County locals will join the 60-member cast which consists of vocalists, dancers, musicians and stagehands from across the state, representing more than 45 counties. This year’s show is entitled ‘We’re Really Not That Different.’ Cast members range in age from 10 to 18 and are selected through a rigorous audition process. The growing success of the program has brought more visibility to Georgia 4-H and the performing arts project areas. ’Clovers and Company provides a great opportunity for cast members to mature as performers and focus on developing leadership and showmanship,’ said 4-H county program assistant Penny Cosper. Clovers and Company has been entertaining state and national audiences since 1981. It was established to serve as a public relations effort to advertise the life and vitality of 4-H, and has served its purpose well, having performed before legislative, business and civic leaders throughout Georgia. The group regularly performs before their fellow 4-H members as well as alumna such as Grammy Award-Winning singer and song writer Jennifer Nettles and Grammy song of the year winner Hillary Lindsey. ’Clovers and Company and 4-H has made my dreams come true by allowing me to perform with Jennifer Nettles and meet Miss America and True Leaders,’ said Clark. ‘I was humbled and truly inspired.’
