Leroy Holsclaw of Milner was extracted safely Tuesday morning around 9:15 a.m. after a wreck pinned him in his 1989 Ford Ranger on Highway 19 north. He has since been released from the hospital. A woman driving a Chrysler Town and Country van was traveling west on Shackleford Road and pulled across Highway 19. She pulled out in front of a 1989 Ford Ranger pickup and her van was hit broadside. She was the only occupant of the van. Holsclaw was trapped in the truck and emergency personnel worked for 40 minutes to free him from the crushed vehicle. A lifeflight helicopter was standing by to transport him, but he was instead transported via ambulance to Spalding Regional Medical Center. His son and the driver of the van were also transported to Spalding Regional.
