A May Day Celebration will be held May 2 at the Fuller Chapel United Methodist Church in Zebulon with festivities starting at 12 noon. ’There will be singing, dancing and praising the Lord for his goodness,’ said organizer Veronica Evans. New to the celebration this year is traditional old time note singing. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Anthony Wilson, Pastor of the ‘Church 180’ located in Locust Grove. ’There will be fun for everyone including the children,’ said Evans. Games will include musical chairs, a sack race, the 50-yard dash and an egg race. The celebration will climax with street dancing known as the Block Party.
